Grass-Fed Beef

We Raise Grass-Fed Beef:

Our cattle live in pastures containing lush green grasses and plants with plenty of fresh water from flowing springs and a deep water source. They also have lots of fresh air and exercise as they graze freely, walking throughout our rolling pastures located in Hillsdale County, Michigan. There is no the need for hormones, antibiotics, or steroids. The beef is leaner and healthier than much of the commercially produced beef.

Feedlot Beef is Raised Differently:

When cattle are raised in crowded feedlots, like those often sold through grocery stores and fast food restaurants, they are fed fattening grains and get minimal exercise. When growth hormones are added to the mix, those cattle grow even faster than normal. The result is fat cattle. This translates into fat beef. When you buy fat beef, you are paying for lots of fat. While some people love their beef marbled with fat, many of the those that we know try to remove as much of that fat as possible and throw it away before eating it. The result is that they either waste their money and/or consume a lot of unhealthy fat.

Here are some statistics on the benefits of grass-fed beef over grain fed beef:

Custom Cattle:

We custom raise our cattle and sell them live. You may purchase them either as a whole or as a portion, such as a half or a quarter. As a courtesy, we can transport the sold cattle to the slaughter/processing facility. The meat cutting and vacuum sealing of your animal is performed according to your instructions.

Limited Supply:

Our cattle are not mass produced. We restrict the number that we graze each year in our pastures. This helps us to provide a wholesome living and growing environment for each animal. Consequently, the number of cattle that we raise is limited. Therefore, it is highly advisable that you place your order as soon as possible.
